Te Puke No 2 Rd and No 1 Rd Loop

About this ride:

Area: Te Puke

This ride leaves Te Puke Township and starts a very gentle climb into the country side, passing kiwifruit and Avocado orchards then on to sheep and cattle country. Stopping at the end of the sealed road not far from the bush line into the Otanewainuku bush ( very pleasant walks www.kiwitrust.org/walks ) On the way back a fabulous down hill with sea views.

As with all road rides they are better started after everyone has gone to work and school. As this is Kiwifruit country you will need to be mindful of pickers cars, tractors and bin trailers and trucks tending to the picking season, March to end of May. Approx 1 hour 18mins and 16.5km ride up and 55 minutes returning down. The road is all sealed.
